College and university photos

I insist on using real images of our students, rather than staged stock photography - the viewer knows the difference. This is a small sample of photos I've taken for academic materials. Taking my own photos enables me to have complete control over the art direction of designs. I can cover a class or lab in 15 minutes and walk away with good variety of shots to work with. Commencement is a marathon.

Personal work: Portraits and landscapes

The minute you include a person in a photograph, it's instantly more interesting. My favorite illustrator is Norman Rockwell for his ability to tell a story in a single image. I strive to create the same narratives with my personal work.
