Creative thoughts are like oxygen for the soul.

Marketing and design for nonprofits and higher education

As an art director, creative designer and instructor, I have used the persuasive power of ethos, pathos, logos (which is Greek for 'logic,' but yes - the logo as well), and kairos to inspire people of all walks of life for nearly two decades. Fluent in various forms of media and software, I developed a full-time career as a creative marketing leader for the higher education sector and B2B space. I have invented, planned, and managed institutional brand identities, strategic advertising campaigns, fundraising initiatives, and comprehensive marketing efforts that were able to grow and evolve with each new chapter ahead.

Our imaginations will dream up little backstories behind every encounter we have. It's a creative instinct in everyone.  However, a good designer can strategically steer those thoughts toward a specific purpose, so choose one wisely. After more than 15 years of inventing new marketing ideas, I always look forward to my next project with ag and tech institutions and nonprofits.

My professional work in art direction, design and photography has been published in all forms of media — from newsprint to signage, commercial video to social media advertising, direct mail to typeset catalog. One thing that is consistent with persons I have worked with — from all levels of higher education to independent agricultural businesses — is that even the most marginalized employees have a creative instinct to make their institutions a better place. I gladly welcome anyone's ideas for a creative solution to a challenge.
